Hatshepsut Temple, Deir el-Bahari complex. The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. “the Holy of Holies”. Queen Hatshepsut was the longest reigning female Queen in ancient Egypt, its One of the most fascinating temples of Egypt with incredible designs that reflect the respect of the Sun deity “Ra” and the strength of a wonderful queen. The temple of Queen Hatshepsut is one of the great funerary monuments of the ancient civilization, its geometrical design and layout for active worship marked a turning point in ancient Egyptian architecture. Hatshepsut temples one of the most important attractions in the top list of many travellers.

Colossi of memnon, the two gigantic statues known as the Colossi of Memnon. Their name is in Ancient Egyptian (SiSet). Which means the sovereignty of the ruler, and also (SiWasSet ) one of the main landmark on the West Bank of Luxor, on the road to the monument area, stood at the entrance gate of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III,  around 17m high, and maybe carved to represent the pharaoh Amenhotep III of Dynasty XVIII.

Karnak Temple, is the biggest temple complex in the world, covering an area of 100 hectares. Much of it has been restored during the last century and our knowledge of the buildings here in different periods of Egyptian history is still increasing each year. In ancient times, Karnak was known as Ipet-isut. The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, comprises a vast mix of temples, chapels, pylons. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and perhaps before that and continued until the Ptolemaic period, the temples are built along two axes (east-west and north-south) with the original Middle Kingdom shrines built on a mound in the center of what is now called the Temple of Amun, although most of the extant buildings date from the New Kingdom. The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut (The Most Selected of Places) and the main place of worship of the eighteenth dynasty Theban Triad with the god Amun as its head. It is part of the monumental city of Thebes. The Karnak complex gives its name to the nearby, and partly surrounded, modern village of El-Karnak, 2.5 k.M (1.6 miles) north of Luxor.

What to Expect

Our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor to start your tour through transferring to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture which was used for burial, the most ancient Egyptian kings are buried in this valley. The most known tombs are King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramssess VI, King Mrenptah and AmonhotepII. After that you will visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, which was built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty -approximately 1490-1469 B.C, the only pharaonic woman who reigned ancient Egypt.

You will pass by the colossi of Memnon which are remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Continue driving to the east bank of Luxor to enjoy your lunch at a local restaurant, before visiting Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worship in the history, dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu. Finally, you will end your tour by visiting the Temple of Luxor, it was built by Amenhotep III in 18th Dynasty in the New Kingdom and it was completed by Ramesses II during the 19th Dynasty. Then our representative will drive you back to your hotel in Luxor.
