In a dramatic race against time UNESCO began a rescue operation in 1964, the like of which had never been seen before. In the incredible salvage operation the temples were dismantled and cut up into manageable-sized blocks, then painstakingly reconstructed 65m higher than the original site.

At 07:00 AM our representative will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor, driving to Aswan for a wonderful tour to visit Philae temple which was built on the honor of Goddess Isis the chief deity of the island, during your tour you will have your lunch meal in a local restaurant lunch at local restaurant in Aswan, and then enjoy a felucca ride to the Nubian village which situated at the bottom of Elephantine Island to discover the simple and natural life of the very kind and hospitable Nubian people. After that you will be transferred to your hotel in Aswan for check-in for overnight stay

Day 1: Abu Simbel Tour – Drive Back to Luxor.
