Karnak Temple, is the biggest temple complex in the world, covering an area of 100 hectares. Much of it has been restored during the last century and our knowledge of the buildings here in different periods of Egyptian history is still increasing each year. In ancient times, Karnak was known as Ipet-isut. The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, comprises a vast mix of temples, chapels, pylons. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom and perhaps before that and continued until the Ptolemaic period, the temples are built along two axes (east-west and north-south) with the original Middle Kingdom shrines built on a mound in the center of what is now called the Temple of Amun, although most of the extant buildings date from the New Kingdom. The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut (The Most Selected of Places) and the main place of worship of the eighteenth dynasty Theban Triad with the god Amun as its head. It is part of the monumental city of Thebes. The Karnak complex gives its name to the nearby, and partly surrounded, modern village of El-Karnak, 2.5 k.M (1.6 miles) north of Luxor.

Hatshepsut Temple, Deir el-Bahari complex. The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut. “the Holy of Holies”. Queen Hatshepsut was the longest reigning female Queen in ancient Egypt, its One of the most fascinating temples of Egypt with incredible designs that reflect the respect of the Sun deity “Ra” and the strength of a wonderful queen. The temple of Queen Hatshepsut is one of the great funerary monuments of the ancient civilization, its geometrical design and layout for active worship marked a turning point in ancient Egyptian architecture.

Colossi of memnon, the two gigantic statues known as the Colossi of Memnon. Their name is in Ancient Egyptian (SiSet). Which means the sovereignty of the ruler, and also (SiWasSet ) one of the main landmark on the West Bank of Luxor, on the road to the monument area, stood at the entrance gate of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III,  around 17m high, and maybe carved to represent the pharaoh Amenhotep III of Dynasty XVIII.

What to Expect

Pyramids Valley representative will pick you up from your hotel in Dahab to transfer you to Sharm Airport to fly to Luxor where you will be met by our representative at Luxor Airport and will accompany you to discover and enjoy the Karnak Temples, the greatest example of worshiping in the history and was dedicated to god Amon, his wife Mut and their son Khonsu.

You will have your lunch meal at a local restaurant in Luxor. Then you will visit the Valley of The Kings, the magnificence of the grandeur of architecture which was used for burial, there are many kings buried in this valley. The most known tombs are King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramses VI, King Mrenptah and Amonhotep II. Then discover the beauty of Queen Hatshepsut Temple, the only pharaonic woman who ruled ancient Egypt. Her temple was built as a dedication to God Amon-Re, who was Hatshepsut’s father in her legend. After that you will see the Colossi of Memnon, the only remains of the temple of Amenophis III. Finally, our representative Transfer you to Luxor Airport for flight to Sharm El Sheikh. Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Dahab.
